On-Campus Clinical Health Services
We are the primary healthcare provider on campus, offering confidential, and comprehensive care to all registered students. Health Services is conveniently located in the Gumberg Library on the 3rd Floor. We are only accessible through the side entrance, the Wellbeing Center, which is adjacent to the Brottier commons lawn area.
We are committed to:
Providing comprehensive, competent, and confidential health care to all undergraduate and graduate students for the education of the mind, heart, and spirit.
Creating a compassionate environment that encourages students to take responsibility for their personal health, fitness, and education by promoting and guiding healthy lifestyles and disease prevention.
We offer same day appointments for the following services and more:
- Acute care of illness, injury, and routine medical problems including sexual health
- Chronic illness management
- Preventative medical care and annual wellness exams
- Physical exams for sports, travel/study abroad, employment, drivers license, or volunteer requirements
- Minor procedures
- Elevated level of care including: EKG, IV hydration and prolonged health status monitoring
- Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment (OMT)
- Pre-Clinical Health Requirements (PCHR) Consultation and testing
- Consult with Nutritionist
- Tuberculosis screening skin and blood tests
- Allergy injections
- ADHD continuation of care
- Phlebotomy and Laboratory services, using Quest Labs as our reference lab
- Immunizations available in office through the Center for Pharmacy Care
- STI screenings with diagnosis and treatment; (billable to insurance or self-pay options)
- Services on behalf of an outside medical provider (with an official order) such as therapeutic injections, lab work, etc.

Using Health Services
Duquesne University Health Services is an in-network participating provider with most insurance carriers. Call your insurance company to verify what coverage is available while staying in the Pittsburgh area.
All students are required to complete the following in the Health Services Portal:
- Electronically complete and submit your Health History.
- Print and have your Primary Physician fill out the Duquesne University Immunization Form, then upload the completed form.
- Enter the dates of required immunizations.
- Upload and enter your Health Insurance information
What you should know
All visits to Health Services are confidential unless consent is obtained from students to release Protected Health Information. Health Services is in compliance with HIPAA. We can bill your medical insurance and offer self-pay options. You may email%20health%20services for non-confidential communication. The content of emails sent to DUHS is confidential and limited to general information for Duquesne University Health Services, but NOT to be used for personal information, advice, or appointment scheduling.

The mission of the Duquesne University College of Osteopathic Medicine is to provide excellence in medical education. The College will train physicians who will serve God, in the Spiritan tradition, by caring for all people in all communities, including underserved urban and rural communities of Western Pennsylvania, the nation, and the world, addressing healthcare disparities among these communities. The College will graduate physician leaders in all medical specialties with a focus on primary care.
