Accreditation

Duquesne University is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education, 3624 Market Street, 2nd Floor West, Philadelphia, PA 19104 (267.284.5000). The Middle States Commission on Higher Education is an institutional accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.

We are also approved by the Pennsylvania Department of Education, 333 Market Street, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania 17126 (717.783.6788).

In January 2016 Provost Austin appointed the Steering Committee for the Middle States Self-Study. It began work on the Self-Study Design.

Middle States Open Forum
Dr. Heather Perfetti, vice president for the Middle State Commission on Higher Education, will be on campus Wednesday, March 30, 2016. The purpose of her visit will be to meet with key stakeholders for Duquesne's Self-Study. All University students, faculty, and staff are invited to an Open Forum from 2:30 p.m. to 3:15 p.m. in the Union Ballroom.
