Shuttle Permits and Parking
What can I do if I’ve lost my permit?
You are able to purchase a new permit in the Parking and Traffic Management Office. The University is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged permits. Replacement permits will incur a fee of $100.00.
I have to drive to campus and have purchased a shuttle permit, what are my options for parking?
You are permitted to park in the Forbes Avenue Garage and pay the Affiliated Daily Rate by showing a DU Card.
How long does my permit last?
Shuttle permits are valid for one semester. You must purchase a new permit every semester. The shuttle operates during the fall and spring semesters. As long as you are a registered student, staff or faculty member you may purchase a permit, residency restrictions apply to commuter students.
Where does the shuttle bus drop off and pick up in the South Side?
The South Side Shuttle stops at five locations.
What happens when the weather is bad?
The shuttle buses will operate according to schedule, despite inclement weather, unless there is a state of emergency. Be sure to check the parking office web page if you are in doubt.
How will I know I’m on the right bus?
The South Side Shuttle buses are white and will have the Duquesne University insignia.
I was late for my class, what can be done about that?
Unfortunately, arrival times are not guaranteed and are only an estimate. Delays can be caused by construction, weather or traffic. Please plan ahead, check our detailed shuttle schedule and arrange to get to campus in time for class.
