Duquesne collaborated with the City of Pittsburgh through the Urban Redevelopment Authority, with the Uptown community and private developers to continue the revitalization of Pittsburgh's historic Uptown neighborhood. The Power Center added tens of millions of dollars to the $300 million economic impact that Duquesne has on our region.

The 130,000-square-foot Power Center is named for Duquesne’s first president, Spiritan Rev. William Patrick Power, C.S.Sp.

The Power Center houses:

  • 80,000 square feet dedicated to recreation and fitness
  • Window-filled conference space with a ballroom, kitchen and top-floor deck
  • Barnes and Noble, including a café and the campus bookstore
