Groundbreaking Ceremony, March 14, 2006
Pittsburgh mayor Bob O'Connor joins President Dougherty and
Duquesne representatives to break ground.
“Since its founding in 1878, Duquesne has played an integral role in the Uptown neighborhood, through services, partnerships and community projects,” said Dr. Charles Dougherty, Duquesne University president. “Through this development, the University is pleased to contribute to the revitalization of the area in yet another, even more pronounced way. This first phase, as well as the rest of the project, will benefit students and residents alike.”
