African Studies Student Forum

The Center of African Studies is hosting a Student Forum on March 14, 2013 in 611 Fisher hall from 4:30 to 6:00.  Come hear stories from Duquesne students who have traveled and studied in Ghana and also news about our new minor program!

Mother Symbol: Africana Women's Religious Practices of Peace Building

This event sponsored by Center for Women's and Gender Studies and Center for African Studies will be held on March 12, 2013 in Pappert Lecture Hall (located in Bayer Learning Center) from 4:30 to 6:00.  This is a free event and a reception will be held in the Bayer Rotunda afterward.

Building Relationships with Africa: Evolving Foundations for Research, Teaching and Service

Dr. Anne Marie Hansen, Dr. Lisa Lopez Levers and Dr. Rodney Hopson will share their experiences in Africa relating to teaching, research and service.  This will be held March 13, 2013 in the Seifert Suite (Duquesne Union) from 4:30 to 6:00.  Reception to follow.
