Certificate Admissions
Admissions and Financial Aid
Individuals interested in enrolling in the Certificate in Forensic Science and Law program are required to complete an admissions application. Individuals may apply to either the undergraduate or post-baccalaureate program in one of two ways:
- As full-program Certificate candidates
- As matriculated students in any Duquesne University undergraduate or graduate program
It is the applicant's responsibility to inform the Institute of his or her admissions preferences by selecting the appropriate categories on the application. Admissions decisions will be made on a rolling basis, and applicants will receive written notice as those decisions are made.
Full Program Certificate Candidates
Enrollment as a full-program undergraduate Certificate candidate begins in late August and concludes early the following May. Enrollment as a post-baccalaureate candidate, which begins at the same time, concludes early the following August. Tuition will be assessed at the University's School of Leadership and Professional Advancement (SLAPA) rates, which are heavily discounted from the standard university tuition rates. You can find out more by visiting the University tuition pages.
Application Deadline: May 31, 2012
Applicants unable to apply by May 31 should contact our office at 412-396-1330 to inquire about the possibility of an application deadline extension. In addition to filling out the application, we ask all applicants to also send in two letters of recommendation. Please include one professional or educational letter and one personal recommendation.
