Undergraduate Requirements
The mission of Duquesne University calls for service to others by persons with consciences sensitive to the needs of society. As part of the University Core Curriculum, every student will take a minimum of one course that includes a required service-learning component.
University Core Service-Learning (UCSL)
- Each undergraduate student who matriculated after fall 2007 must take at least one UCSL designated class.
- Courses carrying the UCSL designation have specific criteria and are approved by a faculty subcommittee.
- McAnulty College and each school will provide students with courses that incorporate service.
- Service-Learning courses add no credits to the University Core Curriculum requirements.
