Master's Degree Options
Students enrolled in the PB-PMHPP Certificate Program may choose to couple his/her certificate studies with a master's degree to not only expand the student's learning and professional qualifications, but also their financial aid options. While a student may choose to pursue a degree in any field, there are 3 master's degree options that are directly related to healthcare and complement the pre-medical requirements.
Bayer School of Natural and Environmental Sciences
Biotechnology brings together the various scientific disciplines to stimulate applied research and the translation of basic science into technology which can be turned into applications and products through technology transfer or entrepreneurial efforts. Specific areas of interest include devices and diagnostics, drug discovery, drug delivery, gene therapy, bioremediation, bioinformatics, microbial engineering, analytical methods, pharmaceutics, compliance, and rehabilitation.
Rangos School of Health Sciences
Health Management Systems is an integration of healthcare, business management, and information systems. As the healthcare delivery system is held to greater accountability, healthcare providers and entities must demonstrate quality outcomes, fiscal responsibility, and efficient and effective practices. To do this, health management systems professionals collect and analyze data, incorporate innovative management techniques, and utilize new technologies to reengineer healthcare. Health management systems professionals are the inventors, innovators, and entrepreneurs for the constantly evolving healthcare delivery system.
School of Leadership and Professional Advancement
The Master of Science in Leadership, concentration in Healthcare Leadership program meets the leadership education needs of professionals working in the ever-changing healthcare field. Students in this program can expect to have greater impact in their current roles and be well-positioned for future leadership opportunities. Graduates of this program will be able to lead teams in ways that positively impact patient care, service excellence and their organization's fiscal responsibility.
