Bio

 

Professor Mark D. Yochum has taught for nearly thirty years at Duquesne University School of Law. For more than fifteen years, his primary specialty has been Professional Responsibility, lawyers' ethics. Additionally, Professor Yochum, in teaching also Basic Federal Income Taxation and Bankruptcy, has a unique combination of skills in American legal education. Also, for over twenty years, Professor Yochum has administered the Law School's vibrant Continuing Legal Education program that produces on average 25 programs annually for the benefit of our alumni and the region. Professor Yochum has become a nationally recognized speaker on issues of professional responsibility and particularly those issues as they relate to bankruptcy practice. He has presented more than one hundred programs for regional bar associations throughout Pennsylvania and the country and for national conventions such as the National Association of Bankruptcy Trustees, National Association of Chapter Thirteen Trustees, National Conference of Bankruptcy Judges, Commercial Law League of America, Association of Legal Administrators and the Internal Revenue Service. Professor Yochum is also Themis Bar Review's national lecturer for the Multi-state Professional Responsibility Exam.

Professor Yochum was born in Pittsburgh, is married (Kathleen) with a daughter (Molly). His is also active in regional theatre (in all capacities).
