Bio

Michael Huster was raised in southern California and majored in physics at the University of California at Santa Barbara. He received M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in physics from the University of Pennsylvania. After a two-year post-doctoral position at MIT, Dr. Huster worked in industry designing the next generation of sonar for the Navy. During that time, he participated in a number of at-sea tests. He taught at Simpson University in Redding, California from 2000 to 2010, and at Nyack College from 2011 to 2014. He has taught physics, physical science and astronomy.

Michael's main hobby is international folk dancing. He and his wife love to travel. They have visited Thailand, Egypt, Malaysia, Paraguay, Jordan, and a number of other countries. He has visited all 50 states and many National Parks.
