Robyn EdwardsSelf-employed SLP with private practice In My Real Life: Since graduation, I have worked to establish a private practice of approximately 50+ patients, I have co-founded a parent support group for parents of special needs children, as well as monthly social gathering in the community for adults from 17-30 with special needs. I am part of the first speech and language association of Trinidad and Tobago as well as making strides to standardize the profession through licensure in Trinidad and Tobago. I have worked on teams from John's Hopkins as well as professionals from Boston's Children's Hospital and different clinics in Florida and throughout the U.S. Work keeps me pretty busy but I have found time to explore, as I am also a travel enthusiast and have been fortunate enough to visit a number of places in South East Asia, Europe, and South America since graduation. In My Real Life: I lived in Virginia for 4 years, and 2 of those years were in historic Colonial Williamsburg. After Virginia I drove cross-country to Los Angeles where my car was shipped to O'ahu, Hawaii. I lived in O'ahu and worked as a contracted SLP in the school system there and loved being able to travel to all the islands. Now i live in Ski Town, CO working in the schools. |
