Mary Rose Bates, L'98--received the PA Bar Foundation's 2013 Louis J. Goffman Award for single-handedly enhancing the delivery of legal services to the impoverished and homeless of Washington County, PA.
Sally A. Frick, L'10--recieved the David B. Fawcett Pro Bono Service Award from Dickie, McCamey & Chilcote, PC. Frick was recognized for giving her time to those in need and desgnated a donation in her honor to Neighborhood Legal Services.
Jon Perry, L'91--recipient of the Western Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association's Daniel M. Berger Community Service Award. Perry and his wife, Joni, founded Pennies from Heaven, a non-profit committed to helping parents remain with their hospitalized children.
David S. Pollock, L'74--recipient of 2013 Special Achievement Award from the PA Bar Association for his dedication and commitment as editor-in-chief of the Pennsylvania Family Lawyer, the official quarterly of the PBA Family Law Section, since 1995.

Angeline C. Straka, L'80 and David B. White, L'82--recipients of the 2013 Duquesne Law Alumni Association's Distinguished Alumni Award. Kathryn M. Kenyon, L'98, recieved the Outstanding Achievement Award.

Regis W. Becker, L'83--named first director of University ethics and compliance at Penn State. Becker will oversee all compliance issues throughout the University and develop Penn State's first comprehensive program of institutional ethics.
Tyra M. Oliver, L'05--named a 2013 Courier Fab 40 by The New Pittsburgh Courier. The award is given to a select group of young men and women for their outstanding accomplishments in the African-American community.
William Campbell Ries, L'74--named chair of the Advisory Committee on Decedents' Estates Laws of the Pennsylvania Joint State Government Commission.
Edward G. O'Connor, L'65--recipient of the 2012 Allegheny County Bar Foundation Presidential Merit Award for his longtime support of the foundation and contributions to its pro bono and public service efforts.
