The School of Law has more than a dozen clinical education programs that offer students the opportunity to apply the legal skills learned in classes to real cases involving real clients, under the guidance of supervising attorneys.

Scholarship Funds
In keeping with Duquesne University's Spiritan heritage, this campaign emphasizes significantly increasing the endowed funds designated for scholarships and need-based aid. Our founders and sponsors determined that the benefits of a Duquesne education should be available to all, regardless of ability to pay. Endowed scholarships ensure that Duquesne can attract and retain the most talented and motivated students for generations to come.
Legal Research and Writing Program
Concise, persuasive writing is among the most important tools of an attorney's trade. To better prepare students for the bar exam and the practice of law, the School has significantly enhanced its writing program. Already, the results have been impressive, with bar passage rates rising and Duquesne's Legal Research and Writing program ranked among the nation's best by U.S. News & World Report for five consecutive years.
Moot Court Programs
Duquesne law students hone their trial and appellate advocacy skills by participating in moot court competitions, with the best students selected to represent Duquesne in prestigious regional and national contests. In the last three years, our students have won three national trial and appellate moot court competitions.
Donor Societies
The 1911 Society
Founded during the School of Law's 85th anniversary in 1996, the 1911 Society is a "select group of highly dedicated individuals who (had) joined together to guarantee a new birth in vitality, resources, accomplishment and achievement to Duquesne University School of Law". The Charter of the 1911 Society proclaims that the law for a Duquesne graduate is "a way to perfect society, to bring about the greatest good for the greatest number of people. Law is a profession of service. The original founders knew this and The Fellows of the 1911 Society re-affirm this."
