Current Grading Scale
The grading scale for all students, effective in the Fall of 2010, is as follows:

| B- | 2.67 |
| C+ | 2.33 |
| C | 2.00 Passing |
| C- | 1.67 |
| D+ | 1.33 |
| D | 1.00 |
| F | 0.00 Failure |
The A+ grade denotes a level of performance that is truly exceptional.
For each first-year course and all upper-level courses of 15 or more students, the Faculty suggests that 20-25% of the grades be A- or above, 50-60% of the grades be B- to B+, and 20-25% of the grades be C+ or below.
Grading Scale 2004-2005 to Summer 2010
The grading scale for students admitted to the Law School beginning with the 2004-2005 academic year and ending after the Summer 2010 term is as follows:

The grading scale for students admitted to the Law School before the 2004-2005 academic year is as follows:
