Externships
The Law Clinic’s Externship Program provides law students with an opportunity to receive academic credit while providing substantive legal work at an approved externship placement. Students are able to apply their doctrinal knowledge to real-world legal work assignments, thereby resulting in practical legal experience and preparedness for the evolution from law school to legal professional.
Students have completed externships in a variety of legal settings including, non-profit organizations; hospitals; federal, state and local government agencies; federal and federal courts; and legal aid organizations. The Clinic has a listing of more than 200 externship placement sites.
