Legal Research Guides by Course - Core Competencies for Legal Practice I and II

Course Description

This course is designed to provide students with skills training in the type of legal reasoning required to succeed on the bar examination and as newly admitted attorneys in practice. It is also designed to provide a review of the key legal concepts that students will encounter on the bar examination and in practice, and covers these core competencies in the subject areas of contracts, torts, property law, evidence, constitutional law, criminal law and criminal procedure. Students must register for both semesters. (4 total credits - 2 credits for Part I and 2 credits for Part II) In-class exam
