Support

Transfer Up to 60 Credits

An advisor will look at the credits you have already earned from another accredited university or college and help you plan out the completion of your degree. We also offer opportunities to earn credits for military experience. The advisors, faculty, and staff are here to help you achieve your educational goals!

On Campus and Online Resources

We do not require or expect that you would have taken an online class before, so we have set some things up to help you:

  • The school's student advisors will guide you through the entire process from registration to graduation
  • Our Student Resource Center provides all of the information that you will need to succeed in one easy to access website
  • New to online learning? No worries. We help you to become comfortable with online learning through orientations and direct human support
  • And of course we have all of the traditional support that you would expect from a tier-one university, from our world-class Gumberg Library, to technology support, to fully committed staff that is always available if you have questions

Flexibility

Online or on Campus

Classes are offered online and on campus on Saturdays. You can choose to complete your degree all online or take some classes on Saturdays.

Accelerated Format

Classes are structured in an accelerated 8 week format to allow you to balance work and family while continuing your education.

  • If you have an associate's degree or 60 credits you could earn your bachelor's degree in 2 years
  • No prior credits? You can earn your degree in 4 years even while working.

Program Format

Choose Accelerated Courses, Online Classes or Saturday Sessions

No two students are alike. That's why Duquesne offers online bachelor's degree courses as well as making some available on campus. For those with limited time availability, we offer weekend college courses which take place on Saturdays.

The academic year is structured in an eight-week term format, with five terms per year, giving you time to take care of the other important aspects of your life.

If you're starting from scratch, you'll probably complete your degree in about 4 years. If you have either an associate's degree or 60 transfer credits, you can expect to complete the program in about 2 years.

Tuition and Financial Aid

Tuition for the 2014-2015 academic year is $787 (tuition and fees)

3 credit course: $2,361

Service members and Veterans: We are pleased to offer military scholarships based upon eligibility.

Employees with Tuition Reimbursement: A corporate tuition deferment program is available.

Undergraduate students may qualify for financial aid. .

PA STATE RESIDENTS, PLEASE NOTE: If you are a Pennsylvania state resident seeking financial aid for undergraduate courses, please be aware of the following eligibility requirements: The Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency (PHEAA) requires that at least 50% of your courses must be taken on campus to be eligible for a state grant. Students who are taking more than 50% of their classes online are NOT eligible for state grants (please note this does NOT affect your eligibility for federal grants).
