Leadership seminars are offered throughout each year to better assist professionals in meeting their personal and organizational goals. Programs are designed in flexible formats. Leadership Breakfast Series
Designed to promote both education and networking, the Leadership Breakfast Series covers a wide variety of topics to make today's professionals think critically. The overall goal, of course, is to help you become a better leader, regardless of your position. Topics of discussion frequently include organizational change, mentoring, leadership challenges and more. Our participants have commented that upon seminar completion, "I believe if I become a better thinker I can become a better contributor to work issues." Each session lasts two hours and includes breakfast.
Center for Leadership Development
A customized training model, the Center for Leadership Development operates within the School of Leadership to provide leadership growth for any type of organization. The Center for Leadership Development supports companies in identifying improvement areas and implements professional development programs which specifically address these issues.
Personal Effectiveness Webinar Series
Duquesne University's School of Leadership and Professional Advancement offers a series of Professional Effectiveness webinars which are free to alumni, students, staff, the public and friends of Duquesne. The program is designed to help attendees enhance their leadership capabilities through skill development training, increase professional effectiveness and positively impact their communities. Topics of discussion range from social media to strategic thinking.
Power of Leadership Program
Overall, the programs aim to advance the leadership and the culture of the organization. The Power of Leadership Program is offered to those employees holding administrative professional, full-time positions at the University and designed as an opportunity for an increased level of development. Our professional administrative programs and workshops benefit employees in that each session creates critical awareness of University needs and builds leadership skills. Successive workshops build on the knowledge and skills gained in previous sessions. Through participation in interactive discussions, Duquesne employees learn how to advance their power of influence, cope with university and personal change and motivate colleagues. Upon completion of the program, employees will be equipped to apply their newfound knowledge to specific work demands.
