Learning Resources

Computer Science students have access to many resources outside the regular classroom. You can:

  • receive free peer tutoring in introductory courses;
  • be mentored one-on-one by a computer science faculty member;
  • become involved in faculty research;
  • earn credit for internships;
  • enroll in specialized computer science courses through cross-registration with Carnegie Mellon University and the University of Pittsburgh, two world-renowned research institutions;
  • utilize the same software in our homework lab that is available in our classroom lab;
  • access a supercomputer cluster (on an as-available basis);
  • join in activities and programming contests with the local student chapter of the Association for Computing Machinery.
