Learning Resources
Computer Science students have access to many resources outside the regular classroom. You can:
- receive free peer tutoring in introductory courses;
- be mentored one-on-one by a computer science faculty member;
- become involved in faculty research;
- earn credit for internships;
- enroll in specialized computer science courses through cross-registration with Carnegie Mellon University and the University of Pittsburgh, two world-renowned research institutions;
- utilize the same software in our homework lab that is available in our classroom lab;
- access a supercomputer cluster (on an as-available basis);
- join in activities and programming contests with the local student chapter of the Association for Computing Machinery.
For details on these and other resources, see the following Math/CS Department information pages.
