Forensic Science and Law Summer Workshop June 27-30, 2016
The professional Forensic Science and Law fraternity Phi Sigma Lambda will host the Thirteenth Annual Forensic Science and Law Workshop at Duquesne University June 27-30th, 2016.
Students and faculty of the Bayer School Forensic Science and Law program, will offer the four-day workshop. High school students from Pittsburgh and the surrounding area are invited to participate.

9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. daily
Duquesne University, Pittsburgh, PA
$200 participation fee (includes all breakfasts, lunches, and complimentary T-shirt)
*** Additional housing fees will be added for individuals staying on campus.
Single Room: $45/night
Double Room: $40/night
Students will stay on campus in a secured and monitored dorimitory. The nightly cost will cover housing fees, dinner, and nightly activities. Students must provide their own linens if staying on campus. Students wishing to stay can arrive Sunday (June 26th) or Monday (June 27th) and must depart at the conclusion of the workshop on Thursday (June 30th).
Who May Apply
Applicants must be high school juniors or seniors as of Fall 2016 with a minimum 2.5 GPA and have a strong interest in the sciences. Consideration will be given to exceptional sophomore students.

All application forms are reviewed on a first-come basis; those received by May 6, 2016 will take priority. All applications must be postmarked by the final deadline of May 20, 2016.

Students who are selected to participate in the Forensic Science and Law Workshop will be notified prior to June 1, 2016. A detailed schedule and additional information about the Forensic Science and Law Workshop will be mailed with the acceptance letter. Phi Sigma Lambda requests a $50 deposit fee (or payment in full) at the time of acceptance, and any remaining balance must be paid at registration on June 27.
Housing is available for out-of-town students at an additional cost. Also, for students who did not purchase the overnight student package, but would still like to participate in evening activities, there will be additional costs for dinners and activities.
