2014 Forensic Science and Law Summer Workshop: July 14-17

The professional Forensic Science and Law fraternity Phi Sigma Lambda will host the Eleventh Annual Forensic Science and Law Workshop at Duquesne University July 14-17th, 2014.

Students and faculty of the Bayer School Forensic Science and Law program, will offer the four-day workshop. High school students from Pittsburgh and the surrounding area are invited to participate.

Cost

$130 participation fee (includes all breakfasts, lunches, and complimentary T-shirt)

$200 participation fee for out of town students spending the night (includes nighttime activities, and all breakfasts, lunches, dinners and complimentary T-shirt)

Who May Apply

Applicants must be high school juniors or seniors as of Fall 2014 and have a strong interest in the sciences. Consideration will be given to exceptional sophomore students. Applicants also must have at least a 2.5 GPA.

All application forms are reviewed on a first-come basis; those received by May 5, 2014 will take priority. All applications must be postmarked by the final deadline of May 31, 2014.

Students who are selected to participate in the Forensic Science and Law Workshop will be notified prior to June 15, 2014. A detailed schedule and additional information about the Forensic Science and Law Workshop will be mailed with the acceptance letter. Phi Sigma Lambda requests a $50 deposit fee (or payment in full) at the time of acceptance, and any remaining balance must be paid at registration on July 14. Housing is available for out-of-town students at the additional cost listed above. Also, for students who did not purchase the overnight student package, but would still like to participate in evening activities, there will be additional costs for dinners and activities.
