opportunity for student researchers, science faculty, and area professionals to interact and share in undergraduate research.

Abstracts and Poster Presentations
Undergraduate students are invited to submit abstracts and present posters. Abstracts must be emailed to urp@duq.edu by Wednesday, July 13, by 5 p.m. (no exceptions). Abstracts and posters must conform to the following format:
Font: Arial 10-point
Length: Maximum of 150 words (not including titles and names)
Title of Written Abstract (in bold)
Authors (Last name, First name; Last name, First name; etc.)
Academic Department
University
Abstract: The text of your abstract goes here. Please submit abstract in Arial 10-point font. The number of words in the abstract cannot exceed 150 words. Words over this limit will be removed.
Posters must fit into a 4’ x 4’ space.
Oral Presentations
To be considered to speak of your research at the plenary session (maximum of 12 minutes), please email your proposal to urp@duq.edu. Students wishing to present oral presentations at the plenary session will be notified of the acceptance of their proposals by Tuesday, July 19, 2011. Proposals for oral presentations must be emailed to urp@duq.edu by Wednesday, July 13, by 5 p.m.
Picnic Lunch
Please R.S.V.P. for the picnic lunch by Friday, July 22, by noon. Lunch is free of charge to all participants and guests. It is not necessary to present a poster or oral presentation in order to attend lunch.
Summer Research Symposium Deadlines
- Abstracts and proposals for oral presentations must be emailed to urp@duq.edu by Wednesday, July 13, by 5 p.m. (no exceptions).
- The deadline to R.S.V.P. for lunch is Friday, July 22, by noon.
