As the School of Nursing continues to celebrate its 75th year, I encourage you to reconnect with classmates and to reminisce about your Duquesne experience! Whether you graduated 5 decades, 5 years or 5 months ago, we all share the common bond of having our nursing careers influenced by our time on the Bluff. A common theme voiced at the Anniversary Gala was the respect each of us felt as students - DUSON faculty have always genuinely cared about each student and their success!
As we face constant changes in healthcare policy, rapid advancements in technology, and the upcoming leadership of a new dean; it is essential that alumni support current faculty and students so that our mission and spirit of caring remain constant. I welcome and encourage you to increase your involvement in the Alumni Association: help us fundraise for our student scholarship fund, make a donation to the nursing lab, or become a mentor. We all have talents that can benefit current and future students.
Finally, I encourage you to utilize the resources and connections available to you through the Nursing Alumni Association. There are nearly 5000 graduates in the Pittsburgh area alone - a friendly face who shares your passion and dedication to nursing is never far away!
