Nursing Alumni Jewelry Collection
In celebration of the 75th anniversary of the DUSON, local artists were commissioned by the Alumni Association to create several unique pieces of jewelry specifically for our school. Proceeds from the sale of these distinctive pieces will benefit the DUSON Alumni Association Scholarship Fund.
SILVER BEADS:
Created by local Pittsburgh artist, Richard Coble, and using a lost-wax casting method, these 15mm beads have been hand finished, highly polished and antiqued to show their stunning detail. Fits most charm bracelets.
"75" bead:
Our Sterling Silver bead with highly modeled ribbed design and center panel depicts the Holy Spirit dove with heart celebrating the 75th Anniversary of the Duquesne University School of Nursing. $60
Duquesne Nursing bead:
Our Sterling Silver bead with intricately carved heart design and center panel is inscribed with "Duquesne Nursing". $60
GLASS BEADS, CHARMS, BOOKMARKERS, WINESTOPPER:
Our Duquesne "red and blue" glass beads are hand made by local Pittsburgh artist, Jessica Rutherford, using a technique called lampworking. The beads are created one at a time by melting rods of glass to over 2000 degrees Farenheit, then individually shaped and decorated. Following a slow-cooling process each piece is individually inspected by the artist to ensure its quality. Beads fit most charm bracelets.
Beads come in 3 designs: red and blue raised dots, red and blue glass-encased dots, and red and blue graffiti.
$30 each
