Duquesne University Times
The Mylan School of Pharmacy recognized nearly 200 students on Aug. 27 at the 11th annual White Coat Ceremony, which marks a student's first year of professional study as pharmacists.

At the ceremony, pharmacy students entering the third year of the school's six-year Pharm.D. program were presented with white coats that they will wear during their laboratory and experiential education, and recited a pledge of professionalism.

David J. Wargo, vice president of North American technical service at Mylan Pharmaceuticals, delivered the keynote address at the ceremony. He has been involved in product development at Mylan for more than 20 years and currently oversees new product launches, process validation, technical investigations and continual process improvement initiatives at Mylan production facilities throughout North America and Puerto Rico.
