Josh Taylor, On-Air Personality/Producer, TribLIVE Radio

Josh TaylorJosh Taylor is a communications triple threat- having held jobs in TV, print and radio broadcasting.

He joined the TribLIVE Radio team after two years as a sports anchor and reporter at KHBS/KHOG-TV in Fayetteville, Arkansas, where he received two Associated Press awards and was nominated for two Emmy awards. Taylor also periodically fills-in as an anchor for KDKA-TV Sports and "The Nightly Sports Call" on Pittsburgh CW.

Taylor, who earned a bachelor's degree in journalism and certificate in general business from Duquesne in 2007, found time to play semi-pro baseball and other sports year-round as well as to win a Telly Award as an anchor, reporter and producer for DUQ-TV News. Because Duquesne is in a city with major league sports, Taylor had opportunities to interview legends like former Steeler "Mean" Joe Greene and to cover the last regular season Penguins hockey game played in Mellon Arena.

But the best thing about Duquesne for Taylor, is, "the number of people who are willing to invest in you as a person as well as a student. Without my professors and people involved in the Office of Student Life, I would never have been able start my journey from the Bluff to reaching my dream of being a sportscaster."

At Duquesne, Taylor grew as a person, not just academically. "There's something for everybody. Between the Duquesne Duke student newspaper, DUQ-TV, WDSR Radio, intramural sports, Greek life and organizations like Orientation staff and the Black Student Union, I made connections and had great experiences with friends that will last a lifetime," he said. "I recently flew back to Pittsburgh to be a groomsman in my fraternity brother's wedding. I think we spent more time reminiscing about our times at Duquesne than talking about anything else. It's a special thing to have memories like that."
