Carnegie Foundation Community Engagement Classification
Duquesne University carries the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching’s Community Engagement Classification. This selective designation affirms the University’s emphasis on partnering with its local communities. In 2008, the classification was awarded to 119 colleges and universities across the country. To receive the classification, Duquesne performed a year-long self-study of its community engagement practices.
