Students engage in research as part of their undergraduate and graduate education under the direct supervision of experienced faculty mentors. Some Duquesne students present their research at national or international meetings and have their work published in peer reviewed journals. This exposure instills in our students an understanding of the importance of academic and scientific research to the world.
As a History Major, you are encouraged to engage in this type of research.
If you are interested in pariticpating in the Undergraduate Research Symposium here at Duquesne, please contact Dr. Holly A. Mayer, Department Chair, to discuss your next steps. Also, if you have a departmental faculty member with whom you would like to work, please feel free to contact him/her as well.
