Army Nurse Corps Association Scholarship
Deadline: March 31, 2013
Eligibility Criteria
- Currently enrolled baccalaureate or advanced degree nursing or nurse anesthesia students who are serving or have prev-iously served in any branch of a component of the US Army (Active Army, Army National Guard and Army Reserve).
- Army Nurse Corps officers in a component of the US Army enrolled in a baccalaureate or advanced degree nursing or nurse anesthesia program not funded by a component of the US Army.
- Enlisted soldiers serving in a component of the US Army enrolled in a baccalaureate or advanced degree nursing or nurse anesthesia program not funded by a component of the US Army.
- Nursing or anesthesia students whose spouse or either parent is serving or has served in a component of the US Army.
The Pittsburgh Foundation Scholarship List
The Pittsburgh Foundation offers over 200 scholarships for local students for both graduate and undergraduate degree programs — even nursing! The Foundation even has scholarships for students who graduated from specific, local high schools.

CertifiedBackground.com and the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN)
CertifiedBackground.com is committing $200,000 over five years to this new program. The new scholarship program will provide $5,000 in support each year from 2011 through 2015, to outstanding nursing students in baccalaureate, master’s, and doctoral programs at AACN member institutions. Eligible applicants must be admitted or enrolled in a nursing school affiliated with CertifiedBackground.com or have submitted an application through nursing’s centralized application service, NursingCAS. To apply for scholarship funding, students must complete an application that requires a brief 250-word essay on their goals and career aspirations in nursing. Winners will be announced within 60 days of each submission deadline, which are set for January 31, April 30, July 31, and October 31 each year. This scholarship is non-recurring and will be awarded to individual students for one semester only.

Nightingale Awards of Pennsylvania (NAP), a non-profit foundation created to recognize and retain nurses in Pennsylvania, announces the availability of scholarship funds for individuals pursuing an education in nursing.
