New Students

Everyone Needs a DU Card

du card new

More than a photo ID, your DU Card is your “key” to getting into campus buildings, buying meals, using the library and other facilities.

Get Your Picture Taken

If you attend the FAST program, be sure to stop by Room 210 Duquesne Union to have your picture taken for your DU Card.

If you can not make it during FAST, stop by during office hours anytime this summer or during Orientation.

Pick up Your Card

Resident students who have had their photos taken will receive their DU Cards when they move into their residence halls.

Commuter students can pick up their DU Cards at the DU Card Center during the first week of classes.

What does my DU Card do?

  • Student identification
  • Holds your meal plan and/or FLEX
  • Gives you access to the residence halls, power center recreation facilities, library and computer labs.
  • ATM card (when linked to a PNC account)
  • Holds Duquesne Dollars
Want to Know More?

Visit the DU Card DORI site for more information.

What if I lose my DU Card?

If you lose your DU Card you should report directly to the DU Card Center. There is a $20 replacement fee.

What if my DU Card is damaged?

A fee will be incurred for each damaged card- $5 for the first, $10 for the second, and $20 for every card thereafter.

Where can I use DU Dollars?

How do I link my DU Card to a PNC Account?

New Pennsylvania Voter ID Law

Beginning with the November 2012 general election, Pennsylvania law now requires voters to show an acceptable photo ID at the polls.  For those students that don’t have a proper form of identification for voting purposes, the University will provide a DU Card with an expiration date printed on the front of the card.  This will then qualify your student DU Card as acceptable form of identification. For further information regarding the Pennsylvania Voter ID Law, visit www.VotesPA.com.
