Biography

Martin Black is the Director of Corporate Relations and Community Partnerships at the Palumbo-Donahue School of Business. Previously, Martin spent four years at the University's Center for Career Development where he was responsible for employer and alumni outreach. He joined the School of Business in 2023. 

Martin's role involves developing corporate partnerships for the School’s Centers of Excellence, and supplying the School’s cornerstone, capstone, and MBA project classes with client consulting engagements.

He currently serves on the Steering Committee of the University-wide Duquesne Sustainability Committee.

Martin has previously served in career development and management roles at New York University, Carnegie Mellon University, Brandeis University, and Thiel College. He has directed international work-abroad programs, and served as an editor, translator, teacher, and nonprofit administrator.

His passions include peace and conflict studies, community engagement, and attacking Pittsburgh's daunting verticals on his bike. He lives in Oakmont with his wife and two sons.
