    Entrepreneurial Studies

    An entrepreneur is one who organizes, manages and undertakes the risk of starting and running a business or other enterprise. Most entrepreneurs are focused on innovation and the creation of wealth.

    Strategies:

    Entrepreneurs must know how to operate every aspect of their business. Typically, this includes the areas of:

    • Day to day business management                                                                                    
    • Marketing-related duties: advertising, selling                                                                      
    • Supply Chain Functions: Distribution of products/services                                           
    • Human resources functions: Hiring/Firing, performance appraisal and training    
    • Financial record keeping/accounting

    Be highly motivated and focused on goal achievement

    Be able to have a vision for the organization and be prepared to convince others/ in order to secure funding and investors

    Locate and utilize resources for small business: funding, training, and management
