Ace Simmons, Anne McKendry, Marta Kessler, Rachel Sweetnich
Hi! I'm Anne McKendry and I'm a junior Secondary Education: Social Studies major. What I like most about Duquesne is the genuine family feel all throughout campus! It's really awesome to be able to feel so comfortable around hundreds of people you may not know. Everyone is always more than willing to help you- especially our professors. They are more often than not willing to go that extra mile to support you and help you succeed. The friends and connections I have made at Duquesne has made me a much better person. I cannot wait for you to come experience the same kind of happiness and family feel Duquesne brings (:
Hey guys! My name is Marta and I'm an Entertainment chair for Orientation. I am a senior in the Middle Level Education program here at Duquesne. Besides working with the Orientation program, I am a member of KDE (the professional education fraternity), I play on teams for bother intermural coed soccer and volleyball, and I am involved in our Campus Ministry group. When I'm not focusing on school work, you can find me either on the soccer fields playing pick up or exploring the city's every corner. Pittsburgh is a wonderful city and Duquesne is the best place to experience college when you want both a city and a campus as your home. I want to congratulate every single one of you on all you have accomplished and I am excited to see what you accomplish in your next years at Duquesne. I can't wait to meet all of you at Orientation and welcome to the Duke Family!
Hi! My name is Rachel Sweetnich, and I'm a 3rd year physical therapy major. I'm from Cleveland, but Duquesne has made me fall in love with the city of Pittsburgh. My favorite thing about Duquesne is the close-knit community that the students form and the many opportunities to get involved in so many awesome organizations, like orientation! For the upcoming 2015 Duquesne Orientation I will be one of the entertainment chairs, so I will be helping with the planning of decorations and events for the week! I am so excited to meet all of the new students!
