Welcome to Duquesne! I am so excited to be a member of the Orientation program to help you further learn about our University and of course meet new students. To know a little about myself, my name is Maria Inks and I am a senior Economics and Finance double major. Other activities I am involved with on campus include Phi Eta Sigma and Lambda Sigma National Honor Society both being honors fraternities that focus on volunteer work. I am also involved with Delta Sigma Pi, which is professional fraternity. Hopefully that is not the only aspects of me you know after orientation week. I hope to get to know as many new students as I can! Congratulations on being accepted to Duquesne University and remember to have an open mind and be yourself during Orientation!
Hello everyone! My name is AJ Vogt and I am a senior at Duquesne majoring in Mathematics and Economics. I really enjoy being a part of the Orientation program because we all get to help the new students become acclimated to Duquesne University in so many different ways. I am also involved in other organizations on campus. I was the President of Phi Eta Sigma, which is the freshmen honor society. I am also involved in intramural soccer and volleyball. If you have read this whole bio I am sure you are already excited to be coming to Duquesne this fall and I want to congratulate you on your acceptance and hope that you truly enjoy however many years you will spend here!
My name is NickValvano and I am from Ellwood City, PA. I am a Junior International Relations major and Economics minor and I also work in the History Department at Duquesne as a Student Aide. I love being on the bluff because it is such a cohesive welcoming community where anyone and everyone can find a place where they belong. I like to run, bike ride, and just enjoy being outside. I find myself being a very approachable person and I enjoy meeting new people. I'm silly and often embarrass myself but I love to make people laugh and enjoy good company and the simple things in life.
