Organ Studios
Duquesne is home to one of the nation's top two programs in organ and sacred music. Organ students have access to two Moeller practice organs, a three-manual Moeller studio organ, a Schlicker tracker organ that once belonged to Paul Manz, a three-manual Aeolian-Skinner organ, installed in 2003, and the most recent addition: a three-manual Allen digital organ that belonged to Duquesne alumnus George Tucker. Organ and sacred music students regularly perform in the historic Duquesne Chapel for liturgies and recitals. The organ, originally by Morehouse & Brandt, was rebuilt by Tellers in 1962. Students also have access to a variety of superior organs throughout the Pittsburgh region.
