Spiritan Campus Ministry Community Engagement

Broaden, enhance and enrich your faith during your time at Duquesne by getting involved with community engagement through Spiritan Campus Ministry. Rooted in Catholic social teaching and inspired by our Spiritan charism, our vision for community engagement is to minister to the marginalized in both our local and the greater global community, working toward social justice in all corners of the world.

Cross-Cultural Mission Experiences

Whether you're working with migrant workers in Florida, repairing homes in Appalachia, running a summer camp in the Dominican Republic or serving at a food bank right here in Pittsburgh, you'll gain the perspective of a lifetime by participating in our Cross-Cultural Mission Experiences.

Evergreen

Through Catholic social teaching, we are called to be stewards of the environment, protecting it for future generations. Students who participate in Evergreen get hands-on in this effort by educating the Duquesne community on sustainability initiatives and keeping our local neighborhoods clean and green.

St. Vincent De Paul Society

The Duquesne University chapter of the St. Vincent de Paul Society works primarily with the homeless of our city. The group brings food, clothing and open hearts to individuals living on the streets of downtown Pittsburgh.

The Laval Project

Learn about the rich history of one of our bordering neighborhoods, the Hill District, and discover ways to affect positive change and social justice through education, reflection and responsible action.
