Medical & Maternity Leave
To request medical leave, all full-time, part-time, clerical, administrative staff and faculty must:
- Submit a Medical Leave Request Form to the Disability Claims Manager.
- Give their supervisor at least 30 days advance notice of the need for a medical leave. If the 30-day notice is not possible, notice should be provided as soon as possible.
TAP 15 pertains to Medical Leave
Maternity Leave is treated as any other Medical Leave. The standard medically necessary time off is 6 or 8 weeks, depending on type of delivery. Sick leave and disability benefits are based on your employment classification. Employees covered by a collective bargaining agreement should refer to their contract.
