What Is It?

Zoom is Duquesne University's official web conferencing solution that meets various collaboration needs. Zoom Meetings is used for collaborating outside of the classroom environment. Examples include distance meetings, digital office hours, video calls, and remote interviews. It is a web conferencing solution that students, faculty, and staff can use to meet virtually. Zoom offers several features, including sharing your screen, creating polls, and recording meetings. Zoom is also used for collaborating outside of the classroom environment.

Download Zoom in Software Center (Windows OS) or Self Service (macOS).

Student and Personally Owned Devices

Go to zoom.us/download and select the appropriate download for your device(s)

On the Web

Go to duq.zoom.us and click Sign in. You will then be directed to a Duquesne University sign-in page where you can sign in using your MultiPass username and password. After signing into Zoom, you can schedule, host or join a Zoom meeting.

Canvas

Zoom Meetings displays on the course navigation menu of all Canvas sites. Faculty can schedule and host meetings directly from a Canvas course site. Students can join Zoom Meetings from the course site. *Faculty must first access their Zoom Meeting account via duq.zoom.us before using in Canvas.
