Duquesne Law School Hosts 16th Annual Katie Westbrook 5K Race and Dog Walk
Law students and other members of the Duquesne University community participate in a 5K race and dog walk throughout the Duquesne campus. The Student Bar Association (SBA) hosts the event, now in its 16th year, in memory of Katie Westbrook, who wanted to become a lawyer before passing away from a rare bone cancer at age 15. This year, the memorial race and dog walk features "Paws on the Bluff," a pet food collection in partnership with Animal Friends Chow Wagon. Proceeds from the annual event support the SBA Centennial Endowed Fund, which helps law students with non-tuition needs.
