Inauguration of Duquesne President Ken Gormley Slated for Sept. 22
The Congregation of the Holy Spirit and the Duquesne University Board of Directors will host the inauguration of Ken Gormley as the 13th president of Duquesne University.
Dressed in academic regalia, more than 300 delegates from Duquesne University and numerous other colleges from across the United States will process beginning at 3:30 p.m. from Academic Walk, past the Mary Pappert School of Music onto Magee Street and then into the A.J. Palumbo Center via the Forbes Ave. entrance.
Hundreds of Duquesne University students will line both sides of Academic Walk as part of the procession to inauguration.
More than 1,000 guests are expected at the 4 p.m. inauguration ceremony, which is open to the general public.
