Why did you select this online program?

Initially, I selected Duquesne's nursing program because of the cost and flexibility of the online program. This was reinforced by recommendations made to me by a colleague enrolled in the program.

What was the most valuable thing you learned in your program?

Everything was valuable. The program was very thorough, yet manageable for a working adult.

How have you benefitted from your degree?

I quickly obtained two excellent positions in my field of study.

What advice would you give to people considering this degree program?

I originally chose Duquesne due to it being the best price, and for the flexibility of the online classroom , but I can say with great sincerity that I would have happily paid more to attend the program. The faculty is exceptional. They provide an environment of caring in their instruction that should be central to all teaching. This is only trumped by their thoroughness in preparing us to pass board certification and to confidently begin practicing as new Nurse Practitioners.

What were your thoughts on the online educational experience?

Online learning requires a moderate degree of self-discipline and direction. This coupled with the clinical aspect of the program, demands strong time management skills as well.
