Admission RequirementsIndividuals wishing to enroll in the graduate program must complete the online Application or the paper Application for Admission to the Graduate School of Education. Transcripts from an undergraduate degree must be from an accredited college or university
Undergraduate degree must fulfill one of the criteria below:
- A minimum overall 3.00 GPA (grade point average)
- A minimum 3.00 GPA on the most recent 48 credits
All international students must receive a score of 550 on the paper version of the TOEFL Exam or a score of 80 on the Internet version of the TOEFL Exam. Results of the IELTS of 7.0 and current to within one year may be submitted as an alternate test. All international students are asked to visit International Admissions for further information.

A $50 non-refundable service fee (except for Duquesne graduates and Religious) must accompany all paper applications for admission.
Students are admitted solely on the basis of ability without regard to sex, race, creed, or national origin.
At this time, Duquesne University is no longer allowed to admit or enroll online students who reside in Alabama, Arkansas, Iowa, Massachusetts, or Wisconsin due to federal regulations.
