Tri-Beta Biological Honor Society

Tri-Beta is the national honor society for the biological Sciences. The Duquesne Chapter of Tri-Beta organizes student-planned field trips, guest speakers, and projects. The advisor is Dr. Joe McCormick.

The Ecology Club

The Ecology Club is for interested undergraduate students, graduate students, and post docs. It helps conduct local bioblitzes and other projects. The advisors are Dr. Brady Porter and Dr. Kyle Selcer.

The Duquesne Chapter of the American Society for Microbiology

The student chapter of the American Society for Microbiology is for those students whose interests lie in microbiology and bacteriology. The group organizes student-planned field trips and projects. The faculty advisor is Dr. Pete Castric.

The Graduate Student Organization of the Biological Sciences (GsOBs)

GsOBs is a very active organization run for and by the graduate students in Biological Sciences. They hold professional workshops, fundraisers, picnics and parties, and other events for the graduate students. The advisor is Dr. Nancy Trun.

The Duquesne Chapter of the American Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology-Undergraduate Affiliate Network  (ASBMB-UAN)

The ASBMB Undergraduate Affiliate Network (UAN) is a national organization comprised of university-based chapters dedicated to the advancement of undergraduate research and education in biochemistry and molecular biology. Student members receive free membership to ASBMB, free access to ASBMB-related journals, and free access to other publications on topics such as graduate education and career choices.
