Our Commitment to Accessibility
Duquesne University is committed to accessibility and equal opportunity in its services, programs and activities. Web accessibility at Duquesne is governed by a set of guidelines called Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG).
At Duquesne we routinely deploy third party tools, and perform manual audits and electronic scans to pursue WCAG 2.1 level AA compliance. All Duquesne web content editors on staff are required to complete web accessibility trainings to be permitted access to the content management system and we offer regular continuing education sessions on accessibility guidelines for digital content.
Report a Digital Access Barrier
Individuals who encounter a disability-related barrier or access concern with digital materials, content, or technology may report such issue via email to our team at webmasterFREEDUQUESNE with "Web-Accessibility Item" in the subject line and provide a description of the specific feature you feel is not fully accessible or a suggestion for improvement.
Upon receipt, web page administrators will conduct a timely and impartial review of the access concern. Relevant campus administrators will be consulted as needed to resolve barriers. The University will ordinarily provide an initial response to the individual submitting the concern within three (3) business days, including effective communication of any content the user could not access where appropriate. The University will work to resolve the concern within seven (7) business days by either remediating or resolving the access barrier and provide notice of the resolution to the submitter. Students or prospective students may direct questions to the Disability Services office regarding academic accommodations.
We take your feedback seriously and will consider it as we evaluate ways to accommodate all of our community members and our overall accessibility policies.
Collecting and Using Personal Information
When you visit and navigate our sites and when you communicate with us via our sites, we will not collect personal information about you unless you provide us that information voluntarily. Any non-public personal information that you may provide via our sites will be used solely for the purpose stated on the page where it is collected. Duquesne University will not sell, license, transmit or disclose this information outside of Duquesne University unless (a) expressly authorized by you, (b) necessary to enable Duquesne University contractors or agents to perform certain functions for us or (c) required or permitted by law. In all cases, we will disclose the information consistent with applicable laws and regulations and we will require the recipient to protect the information and use it only for the purpose it was provided.

Please note that your e-mail, like most, if not all, non-encrypted Internet e-mail communications, may be accessed and viewed by other Internet users, without your knowledge and permission, while in transit to us. If you wish, you may contact us instead via non-cellular telephone at the numbers provided at various locations on our sites.

Other Information/Cookies
