Biography
Dr. Divya Venkat completed her medical degree schooling at the George Washington University School of Medicine. She completed Internal Medicine residency training as well as a chief resident year at the Allegheny Health Network.
During her time in residency, Dr. Venkat was the first resident recruited to the Inclusion Health residency track. She then joined the faculty of the Center for Inclusion Health in 2020. Since joining the faculty, she began a novel program for post-incarceration care, called the RIvER clinic and started the low-barrier mobile clinic for MOUD through the local syringe services program. She maintained active involvement in the internal medicine residency program through co-directorship of the Inclusion Health Track and starting the Clinician Educator Track. She currently serves as a clinical preceptor within the residency program. She has an active role as a researcher within the residency program. She enjoyed mentoring trainees and creating novel curriculum in the social determinants of health.
On her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, gardening, and listening to live music.
