Biography
Dr. James Weber is The Rev. Martin Hehir, C.S.Sp. Endowed Chair in Scholarly Excellence and Managing Editor of Business and Society Review at the Palumbo-Donahue School of Business. In 2024, he retired from his roles as Managing Director, Albert P. Viragh Institute for Ethics in Business and Professor of Business Ethics and Management.
He has developed and taught online and in-person graduate courses in public affairs management, business ethics, organizational ethics, global ethics, and field-based research in business ethics.
Dr. Weber developed the Applied Business Ethics courses in the MBA program and the core Business Ethics course for undergraduate students. He also revised and offered the Global Business, Government and Society course for Management undergraduates.
He has published numerous manuscripts in various management and business ethics journals, serves on the editorial board of two business ethics journals, and is the co-author of 15th edition of Business and Society: Stakeholders, Ethics, Public Policy published by Irwin/McGraw-Hill.
In his leisure time, Dr. Weber is an avid Pittsburgh Penguins fan and has been known to proudly sport a playoff beard during the Penguins quest for the Stanley Cup.

Research Interests
Dr. Weber's research interests include constructing an ethics profile of Millennials, as well as assessing values, moral reasoning, and ethical behavior on the individual level. His research also evaluates ethical and compliance programs, ethical work climate, and ethics audits on the organizational level.
