Biography

Kate joined the Center for Career Development in January 2024 and is responsible for partnering with the rich network of Duquesne alumni, employer partners, and friends to identify and share internship, job, and professional development opportunities for students.    

Kate has over 15 years of experience in higher education in academic administration, student affairs, campus and community partnerships, and teaching, and has spent most of her career facilitating leadership and professional development opportunities in college and university settings.  She is committed to integrating elements of leadership, personal development, and life design into the professional and career development of students and alumni, and developing institutional and community partnerships that are mutually beneficial and contribute to positive social change.  Kate has most recently served as Director of Career Development at Chatham University, and has also worked at Carnegie Mellon University, Christopher Newport University (VA) and the University of San Diego (CA) in leadership development and education.
