Margaret Ealy

Margaret Ealy has been an executive administrator at the University of Pittsburgh Academic Medical Center for approximately 20 years. She currently holds this role for the Department of Psychiatry and the Western Behavioral Health Service Line, as well as for the Department of Plastic Surgery. She has held similar roles within the specialties of Medicine, Family Medicine and Urology. Within her role of executive administrator, she is responsible for the financial, clinical, research, academic and human resource administration operations of the Departments that she is responsible for, in addition to being responsible for the operations of Western Wellness Therapy, the Primary Care team at Western Psychiatric Hospital and the Nurse Clinician team at Western Psychiatric Hospital. Ms. Ealy also spent 2 years in the role of Accounting Manager for UPMC Presbyterian, Shadyside and Montefiore Hospitals, consisting of 1,200 patient beds at the time and also a part of the University of Pittsburgh Academic Medical Center.

Prior to her time in the healthcare industry, Ms. Ealy spent 7 years in the public accounting industry with the firm of Deloitte and Touche in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and served as an adjunct faculty member for 4 years for various area universities, including the University of Pittsburgh, Robert Morris University and LaRoche College. Ms. Ealy also/has also serves/served as a guest speaker and/or adjunct faculty at Duquesne University, West Virginia University, and the University of Pittsburgh, in addition to serving as a guest speaker at various national healthcare conferences.

Ms. Ealy is actively involved in educating and/or mentoring Master of Healthcare Administration students and/or Accounting students at institutions, including the University of Pittsburgh, Duquesne University, Penn State University and Ohio State University.
