Biography
Meng-Shan Lee, MMT, Ph.D., MT-BC is a board-certified music therapist and assistant
professor at Duquesne University and has lectured as an adjunct professor at Temple
University. Meng-Shan earned her Bachelor of Arts in Music Therapy from Tainan National
University of the Arts in Music Therapy (Taiwan) in 2010 and her Master of Music Therapy
from Temple University in 2017. She also worked at Taipei Veterans General Hospital
as a music therapist. She worked extensively with children who have special needs
and children in hospital and hospice settings. Her most recent practice has been with
adults in neurorehabilitation and caregivers in various settings, with whom she is
completing her dissertation research. Meng-Shan has presented frequently at both regional
and national music therapy conferences. She has received Government Scholarship to
Study Abroad (GSSA, Taiwan) in 2016 and 2020, and the Mid-Atlantic Region of the American
Music Therapy Association (MAR-AMTA) Research awards in 2019 and 2022.
