Biography
Mia E. Briceño is the Program Manager for the Grefenstette Center for Ethics in Science, Technology, and Law. She brings many years of higher education and non-profit experience with her to the Program Manager role, previously serving as a faculty member, academic advisor, and program director.
Briceño earned her Ph.D. in Communication Arts and Sciences at The Pennsylvania State University, her M.A. in Communication Studies from California State University, Northridge, and her B.A. in Rhetoric in Communication from the University of Pittsburgh. Her research interests and teaching expertise are in the areas of rhetorical theory and criticism, feminist theory, and women’s and gender studies. She is skilled in public speaking, facilitating effective group communication, diversity, equity, and inclusion teaching and practice, and critical analysis of publicly communicated messages.
